Kenya Governance & Political Advisory

Strategic counsel for candidates, county governments, and civic organisations navigating Kenya's 2027 election cycle.

A communication environment that never fully rests

Kenya's political communication environment has changed faster than most advisory practices have kept pace with. Digital mobilisation, coalition arithmetic that begins years before polling day, and an electorate that never fully disengages between cycles, these aren't abstractions here. They're the subject of my own published research on Kenya's digital electoral politics from 2013 to 2022, and they inform how I advise clients directly.

Why this practice

This work sits on the same theoretical foundation as the rest of my research, the Generative Social Structure framework's account of how distributed trust, oral deliberation, and collective responsibility hold political systems together under pressure.

Kenya is one of the framework's core comparative cases, not an afterthought.

That means the strategic advice here is grounded in structural analysis of how Kenyan political communication actually works, not imported generic messaging playbooks.

What this covers

Campaign Strategy & Communication

Message development, digital mobilisation strategy, and communication planning for county assembly, gubernatorial, and parliamentary candidates. Built from direct experience developing a governorship campaign portfolio and manifesto for the 2027 cycle.

County Governance Advisory

Digital communication strategy and stakeholder engagement planning for county governments navigating public trust, service delivery communication, and digital-era accountability pressures.

Civil Society & Election-Monitoring Support

Research and analytical support for organisations tracking digital mobilisation, disinformation, and political communication patterns through the election cycle.

How engagements work

Work is structured as a monthly retainer, scoped to the specific cycle stage a client is in, rather than a fixed package, because campaign needs shift substantially between the early positioning phase and the final run to polling day. Initial conversations start with a scoping call to establish what stage you're at and what a realistic engagement looks like.

Start with a scoping call

Tell me where your campaign, county, or organisation stands in the cycle, and what you're trying to solve before the next milestone.
